50 min.
How frequently is therapy?
My most “successful” clients (those who see the most change in the shortest amount of time) schedule weekly for about three-five sessions before reevaluating. There are several factors to take into consideration when planning the duration and frequency of therapy. We work together to find the best option for your unique situation and circumstances.
CancelLation policy
What if I can’t make or I miss my session?
Life happens, things come up unexpectedly, we get sick and the weather is especially unpredictable in Colorado! I understand. I ask that you please notify me as soon as you know you will not make a session. If you cancel and/or reschedule your appointment with 24 hours of advanced notice, there is no penalty. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, you will be charged after the second time. (Everyone receives one free mulligan.) More information is available in my disclosure statement and policy form.
Therapy for you!
How do I know if therapy is right for me? Who goes to therapy?
Everyone can benefit from counseling/therapy. Most people seek out therapy because CHANGE is needed or wanted. Or perhaps you would like an unbiased and fresh perspective on your situation. If you feel stuck or are experiencing negative symptoms in your life, talking to a mental health professional is the first step in addressing your mental wellness needs. In therapy, you should feel respected, supported, safe and comfortable. You are your best advocate in finding a mental health professional who you feel you will connect best with. Many therapists and mental health professionals offer complimentary phone consultations and I encourage all prospective therapy clients to take advantage of this opportunity!
contact
How do I get in touch with you?
The best way to get in touch with me is through email since I am in session throughout the day. Our first step is to schedule a free phone or video consultation. The schedule time with me button located at the bottom of the screen can be used to schedule the consultation.
What does the phone consultation entail?
The phone consultation is a complimentary 30 min. conversation in which we decide if we are a good fit before scheduling the initial session. The purpose of the phone consultation is to get to know each other a little bit, for you to ask me questions, learn more about my practice and see what it would be like to work with me. I will ask you about your current symptoms, needs and goals of therapy to ensure that I am able to help you. Although rare, if I do not believe I am the best fit for your needs, I can refer you to another specialized mental health provider.
